Hello, everyone! This week marked the return of our team to training, but that was not all. A lot is happening with our black and white love, check everything here!

Let’s go, Galo!

The captain and the return

This Wednesday (20), the defender and captain Réver gave a press conference in Cidade do Galo. In the chat, Réver commented Atlético’s return to training. For the captain, returning to Cidade do Galo was a relief, as he felt the lack of training with his teammates.

Coach Jorge Sampaoli was also on the agenda. According to Réver, even with little training, the players were able to understand the style that Sampaoli intends to apply at Atlético.

Atlético returned to training this Tuesday, following the health rules against COVID-19. Some players went to the field and the highlight was Gustavo Blanco’s return. According to the doctor Rodrigo Lasmar, the increase in the number of athletes in the training camps will be done gradually.

MRV Arena Details

In an exclusive interview with Fala Galo, Bruno Muzzi, CEO of Arena MRV, revealed important information about the construction of the athletic house. The construction started on April 20 and, with that, details of the commercialization, schedules and values are still unknown by some fans.

“The product launch and sale team has to be well studied. The idea is to have a commercial effort and adapt to the demands so that we can seek the resources”.

“Today we have 68 cabins, which can accommodate about 20 people each, divided by sector. Prices will be more affordable than in São Paulo, we will have chairs with and without an appointment”, explains Muzzi.

One more paid debt!

Atlético president Sérgio Sette Câmara announced today that the club paid Otero’s debt for hiring Otero in the amount of R$734,503.00. The Venezuelan club was entitled to the solidarity mechanism of the maximum entity of football.

The mining club owed Caracas since 2016, under Daniel Nepomuceno, who agreed to sign the Venezuelan. At the time, the attacking midfielder defended Huachipato, from Chile, but Caracas kept a percentage of the player.

Blanco returns to training

In the middle of 2018, one of Atlético’s best and most participative players was seriously injured, a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament. That year Gustavo Blanco played 11 games for Atlético in the Brazilian Championship and gained more recognition from the crowd at each game.

Currently aged 25, he returned to training in Cidade do Galo with his teammates after a stop caused by COVID-19 and also recovered from his second injury at the same place he was away in 2018.

Without Club, Elias charges Atlético

Former Atletico player, Elias, filed a lawsuit in the Labor Court, collecting a debt of R$2,7 million. The information was released by Itatiaia.

Elias charges Atlético the amout of R$2,705,719.26. The collection involves collection of FGTS, adelayed wages and allowances.

The 35-year-old midfielder, who is currently without a club, was signed by Atlético in 2017 and remained at the club until the end of 2019. He had a contract until January 31, 2020. For Atlético, Elias played 164 games and 25 goals. He was 2017 Mineiro Champion.

Cost reduction and pandemic

In an interview with Turma do Bate Bola, from Itatiaia, President Sérgio Sette Câmara commented on the layoffs at Atlético during the past few days. This Friday, more than 50 employees were dismissed from the club.

The official regretted having to send away employees who had been in Atlético for years, but stressed that he could rehearse some of them when the club is in a better financial situation.

According to Sette Câmara, with the financial cuts, the alvinegro club plans to save R$10 million by the end of this year. The 25% cut in players salaries remains, at least until the games return.

Thus, the president said that in addition to the layoffs, other types of cuts will occur in the club. The measures aim to save up to R$ 70 million by December.

Alan Franco is close to Atlético

Atlético agreed almost every detail with Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle to sign 21-year-old midfielder Alan Franco. A source close to the board said that only bureaucratic details separate the deal between clubs.

The information of interest and negotiation with the athlete was brought firsthand by journalist Henrique Muzzi, from Rádio Liberdade FM, and confirmed by Fala Galo with the athlete’s agent. Even with the confirmations, the board of Atlético denies any negotiations at this time.

That’s all, folks!
